William L. Robbins, Chairman, President and CEO
Mr. Robbins, a co-founder of Neurion, has more than 20 years of experience as a corporate manager, start-up executive, entrepreneur and private equity investor in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology industries. He has been directly involved with drug discovery, pre-clinical development, clinical testing, regulatory filing and marketing of pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices in a wide range of therapeutic areas, including neurology, psychiatry, cardiology, oncology, rheumatology, infectious disease, dermatology and others. Mr. Robbins has extensive experience in the management of Phase I-III clinical research programs. He is a Managing Director of Convergent Ventures, an early investor in Neurion. He is a co-founder and Managing Director of Calisra Ventures. Previously, Mr. Robbins founded Convergent Management, Inc., a consulting firm focused on early-stage life science companies. Mr. Robbins served as VP, Business Development at Bio-Imaging Technologies, a medical imaging and clinical research company that went public during his tenure. He also held brand management and new product development positions at Warner-Lambert Company and account management positions at the professional healthcare division of Grey Advertising, in New York. He is a trustee of Israel Cancer Research Fund and a board member of the American Technion Society-Southern California Chapter Mr. Robbins holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.

Nima Shiva, Executive Vice President
Mr. Shiva has been in the life science industry since 1990 as a scientist, entrepreneur and investor. As a Managing Director of Convergent Ventures, a life science venture investment and development group, he contributed to the formation of Neurion Pharmaceuticals and ORFID Corporation. Mr. Shiva is also the Chairman, President and CEO of Encode Bio, a privately-held company which he spun out of Neurion in 2006. Prior to joining Convergent Ventures, Mr. Shiva was an equity research associate in biotechnology and medical devices at Wedbush Morgan Securities. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Shiva held technical and research management positions at UC San Diego and Sequana Therapeutics. Mr. Shiva holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BS in Physiology and Neurosciences from UC San Diego.
